Bends and Books is a place where my love of words and my love of movement come together.
Ellie Gleeson
Ellie’s yoga practice is founded on strength and softness, and a love of words (and Bends and Books was born!).
With a background in long-distance running, Ellie has a deep understanding of the importance of physical strength. Her yoga training has shown her the essential skills of emotional and energetic strength. She has trained with Julie Smerdon, Judith Lasater, Amanda Zdanowicz, and has certifications in classical yoga, yin yoga, philosophy, and anatomy.
As a lawyer and an editor, she has a love of language that she employs in her classes to guide and calm the mind, while providing a nourishing and powerful practice for the body.
Ellie has a passion for continuous learning, especially in the Anusara school of yoga, and is deeply driven by the desire to connect and help others find the strength and softness that yoga has given her.
